SHIPPING POLICY
This Shipping Policy outlines how postal hires are dispatched, delivered, and returned when hiring from Rent That Drobe. By placing a postal hire booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to the following terms.
1. Shipping Method
All postal hires are dispatched via Australia Post Express.
Postage fees are additional and based on current Australia Post rates, which are subject to change.
Shipping fees must be paid in full before a garment is dispatched.
2. Dispatch Timeframes
Garments are posted in advance of your hire period based on standard Australia Post Express delivery estimates.
Rent That Drobe is not responsible for:
• Postal delays
• Lost parcels
• Damaged parcels
• Late arrivals caused by Australia Post
Refunds are not offered for delays caused by postal services.
3. Delivery Requirements
Parcels are sent with Authority to Leave, unless the renter requests Signature on Delivery (additional fees apply).
Clients must ensure:
• A safe and secure drop-off location at their delivery address
• Correct address details are provided at checkout
Rent That Drobe is not liable if:
• Delivery fails due to incorrect address
• Parcel is stolen after delivery
• Delivery cannot occur due to access or safety issues
4. Recommended Booking Time
Clients are strongly encouraged to place postal hire bookings well in advance to avoid late or unavailable deliveries.
Renters assume responsibility for the risk of garments not arriving in time for last-minute hires.
If Rent That Drobe advises that a postal hire may not arrive in time and the client chooses to proceed, no refund or store credit will be provided if delays occur.
5. Tracking Information
All parcels include tracking.
Once lodged, tracking details will be provided to the client.
If tracking shows the parcel was posted on time but delivery is delayed by Australia Post, no refund or credit will be issued.
6. Postal Returns
Clients must use the prepaid return satchel provided and lodge the garment over the counter at Australia Post, not in a street post box.
Return deadlines:
• Weekend hires → Must be returned by Monday 1:00 PM
• Weekday hires → Must be returned by 12:00 PM the following day
Client responsibilities:
• Ensure the garment is packaged correctly
• Lodge the parcel on time at Australia Post
• Retain the lodgement receipt as proof of return
Lost or misplaced return satchels are not refundable.
7. Late or Incorrect Returns
Late postal returns impact other bookings and will incur:
• $15 per day late fee
If a late return affects a subsequent hire, the renter will be charged the full rental fee for the impacted booking.
If a garment is lost due to incorrect return handling (e.g., placed in wrong box, not lodged properly), the renter will be charged:
• Full replacement value (RRP)
• Any associated hire-loss fees
8. Lost or Damaged Parcels
Rent That Drobe is not responsible for:
• Parcels lost during transit
• Damage occurring after dispatch
• Australia Post failing to deliver
If a garment is lost or stolen in transit on return:
• The renter must pay the full replacement value (RRP)
9. Store Credit Eligibility for Postal Delays
If tracking confirms the parcel was posted by Rent That Drobe with sufficient time but it does not arrive due to postal delay, the renter may be eligible for a store credit (excluding shipping costs), provided:
• The garment arrives late
• The garment is unworn
• It is returned within 24 hours of delivery
• It is lodged over the counter at Australia Post
• Proof of lodgement is provided within the required timeframe
Failure to meet these conditions results in forfeiture of the store credit.
10. No Refunds for Sizing or Change of Mind
Once a garment has been dispatched, the following are not eligible for refund or store credit:
• Change of mind
• Incorrect sizing
• Cancellation after dispatch
Try-on appointments are strongly encouraged prior to booking to avoid sizing issues.
